Who we are…

We were raised in Fort Worth. As much as we are Fort Worth, Fort Worth is us. “Where the West Begins” isn’t just some cute saying…it is truly Fort Worth. Go anywhere - you’ll see it. From the historic Stockyards, to Downtown and the Museum District…our historic western heritage shines through not only in what you see, but what you feel.

The western heritage of Fort Worth…bold, friendly, unique…is embodied by the cowboy hat. Our FWPD officers wear the cowboy hat proudly, and we are proud to provide a new cowboy hat to every police academy graduate.

We are so thankful for the FWPD, its officers and their families. The unyielding support from the residents of Fort Worth help to make the FWPD one of the most respected police departments in our country.
